What is the Purpose of the Event?

The primary goal of "Walk2Water" is to help students understand and empathise with the water crisis in Africa. Through presentations and engaging activities, we aim to raise awareness about this critical issue and encourage fundraising efforts to support solutions.

Students of all ages are welcome.

What are the possible disadvantages, risks or side effects of taking part?

There are no anticipated disadvantages or side effects of taking part in this study. However, during the short rally pupils will be given the chance to carry water-filled jerry cans to experience the ongoing situation in Africa. This can potentially cause muscle pain to an unharmful extent. The weights would be kept at a level that is safe for their age and they will be asked if they want to take part or not.

Participants are encouraged to bring water bottles to stay hydrated, comfortable walking shoes, and sun protection (hats, sunscreen). We will provide the water cans for the simulation.
