What Does This Mean for Your School?
By participating in our event, your school will play a vital role in raising awareness and addressing the critical issue of water scarcity in Sub-Saharan Africa. Our team will visit your school to conduct engaging workshops and activities designed to educate students on the importance of water conservation and sanitation.
Walk2Water Project Overview
Walk2Water is a charitable initiative that organises workshops, fundraising events, and trips in collaboration with schools, charities, and community organisations to combat water scarcity in Sub-Saharan Africa. In 2023 alone, we opened 40 water wells in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, providing clean and safe water to approximately 1,000 people for the next decade.
Our workshops and activities are designed to educate and inspire students to take action. Here’s what a typical event will include:
Interactive Presentation (30 minutes):
A multimedia presentation on water conservation, sanitation, and the effects of water scarcity in Africa.
Presentation of Water Samples:
Students will observe real samples of unsafe water collected from Africa, providing them with a first-hand understanding of the challenges.
Short Rally with Jerry Cans:
Students carry water-filled jerry cans to simulate the experiences of African children who walk miles to collect water, fostering empathy and awareness.
360° VR Video Presentation:
An immersive experience showcasing the real challenges African communities face due to climate change and water scarcity.
We understand the importance of safety and providing a professional, engaging experience for your school.
To ensure the event runs smoothly, we kindly ask that the school provides the following:
