Mcharuko Village
We are seeking your support for our new water well that will be established in Tanzania. This clean water well will serve approximately 500 people, and even your small contributions can help make its inauguration possible.
Mcharuko district is located in Morogoro province. Around 1870, there were about 10 thousand people living in this settlement. Since there is no clean water source in the region, there are very serious problems. The residents of the region meet their water needs in two ways. Sometimes drinking water is bought with money, but this is not always possible due to economic difficulties. Another solution is to obtain water from puddles formed after rain. This is a very dangerous method in terms of health because the presence of bacteria in unclean water causes diseases such as typhoid, cholera, and diarrhea. People who set out early in the morning to get water sometimes have to wait in line for a long time. In addition, they have to travel to more distant places and find new sources after each puddle dries up. With the water well to be opened here, people's urgent needs will be met, and they will have access to water that is vital for their health. Drinking water will also be used for cooking and will make people's work easier in terms of cleaning.
