Mcharuko Village We are seeking your support for our new water well that will be established in Tanzania. This clean water well will serve approximately 500 people, and even your small contributions can help make its inauguration possible. Mcharuko district is located in Morogoro province. Around 1870, there were about 10 thousand people living in this settlement. Since there is no clean water source in the region, there are very serious problems. The residents of the region meet their water needs in two ways. Sometimes drinking water is bought with money, but this is not always possible due to economic difficulties. Another solution is to obtain water from puddles formed after rain. This is a very dangerous method in terms of health because the presence of bacteria in unclean water causes diseases such as typhoid, cholera, and diarrhea. People who set out early in the morning to get water sometimes have to wait in line for a long time. In addition, they have to travel to more distant places and find new sources after each puddle dries up. With the water well to be opened here, people's urgent needs will be met, and they will have access to water that is vital for their health. Drinking water will also be used for cooking and will make people's work easier in terms of cleaning.

Make a Difference to Global Water Crisis

Clean and safe water might be a common element of our lives, but there are still 1 billion people who don’t have access to this. Clean water is still one of the biggest crises of today! It’s a human’s primary need. Without it, everything becomes a risk factor: poverty, education, health and a big issue for women and children. Because of contaminated water sources, every 2 minutes, a child dies. It is also a huge challenge for women. The average woman in rural Africa walks 6 kilometers every day to haul 40 pounds of water, and in the end, the water isn’t even clean. The long walk for water is full of dangers; wild animals attack poor souls on the way to water, sometimes children are kidnapped and don’t have time to go to school.
