On Monday 3rd June, we are holding an event at school to bring attention to a crucial issue: water scarcity in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Awareness and empathy: Our aim is to raise awareness and make a difference to the issue of water scarcity in Sub-Saharan Africa, where women and children walk many miles to fetch water which is often unsafe to drink. Our KS2 children will be doing a lap of the school field carrying tubs containing water to symbolise their struggle and to build empathy.

Our goal: To raise £500, which will go directly towards building a water well in Africa. Even the smallest donation will make a difference and help bring clean, safe drinking water to school pupils in this part of the world.

Clean water means health, education, and opportunity. It paves the way for a brighter, more sustainable future.
